| The preschool program serves 120 children. We have three different components to our preschool to help serve all families. We have opportunities for families who qualify under Head Start, low income/subsidized, and full cost care. At the preschool we are child centered, play based and use creative curriculum as our guide. We work on the social and emotional development of the child along with cognitive, physical/fine motor and language development. The children are immersed in books, music, dance and circle time. They do puzzles and art activities to help develop all levels of the whole child. We have a large oudoor play area where children can run, jump, climb and ride bikes. The preschool has two snacks per day, and we also serve a hot family style lunch (such as spaghetti or teriyaki chicken) made fresh daily from our wonderful in-house kitchen. We also serve children with special rights in our Manzanitas classroom ½ day program from 8:30 to 12:30. To enroll in Manzanitas you must contact Special Education services in the AUSD. |
